It’s a two and half hours drive from Mangalore to Koodlu theertha falls. Amidst the jungles of Western Ghats Kudlu theertha falls is located in Udupi and it is been noted as the first waterfall of river sita. At a height of 126 feet the water fall flow directly into the pond. It is believed that many years ago many sages performed penance because of this pond is marked as holy.

Above Kudlu theertha there is another waterfall named Manga Theertha or Monkey Theertha. Since the path is steep and only monkeys can reach this location it is named as Manga Theertha.
